Ooops!

It's amazing how quickly things become obselete. Take the video recorder - used to be the thing to have now it just gathers dust under the TV and the DVR is king. Same with floppy disks - who uses them anymore - it's all memory sticks and burning to DVDs.

The reason I'm talking about this and yes there is a reason, as part of a procedure I had to transfer data to a floppy and look at it at home. This sounded like a good plan until I popped the floppy in my drive. There was a dull thud and the disk dropped into the computer. I had to get the side off to retrieve the disk from my now non-existent disk drive. Doh!
